Our Founder:
“Butch Charles Grimes” founded “Who’s Going to Take Care of Me” and the Gloria Grimes Alzheimer’s and Dementia Community Resource Center in Inglewood, California in honor of his mother, Gloria Grimes, who is also battling Alzheimer’s. He realized that there was a need to not only acknowledge Alzheimer’s and Dementia’s effects on underprivileged and minority communities, but also inform and support these community members in their battle against these illnesses with no known cure.
Butch is also the Founder and President of Team Equity L.A. Property & Management Inc and has more than 37 years of experience in the probate, conservatorship, trusts, Partition Referee and receiverships business.
He has also received the following awards:
– Awarded the Certificate of Recognition and Honors by US Senator Barbara Boxer for Outstanding Achievement and Services in Community Outreach and Education in 2005.
– Commended for dedicated Community Service by the County of Los Angeles Supervisors in 2005.
– Awarded the Certificate of Recognition and Honors from the L.A. Neighborhood Housing Services (LANHS) for Outstanding Achievement and Services in Community Outreach and Education in 2005.
-Awarded California Reinvestment Coalition-CRA Tiger award for Outstanding Community Service and Activism for Homeownership Rights in 2004 and 2005.
Named “Hero of The Week” by Alzheimer’s, Dementia-KNX, CBS.
– Named “Caregiver of The Year” by the Grand Park Foundation.
He is a California real estate broker while also holding designation an instructor for the Senior Real Estate Specialist (SRES and GRI Designation), as well as being a graduate of Real Estate Institute. Mr. Grimes is currently working on specialized programs for underprivileged Alzheimer’s/Dementia sufferers and family members. Butch Grimes’ initial introduction to real estate began through purchasing, rehabilitating and selling properties in urban areas. His passion for improving his community and providing opportunities for families propelled him to be a real estate ambassador. He has provided education and information, particularly in the subjects of property retention and preservation. His efforts assisting and educating clients led to their independence as well as his own. He established the following companies: L.A. Metropolitan Funding Group, Inc., Team Equity L.A. Property, Inc., We Talk Real Estate TV & Radio Enterprises, Provocativethoughts.net (T-Shirt designer) & WT247.com/wetalk247.com, The 15 minute information radio network and WhosGonnaTakeCareofMe.com (Alzheimer’s/Dementia) nonprofit organization for undeserved Alzheimer’s and Dementia populations. He was an exclusive representative for organizations such as Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, Restore Neighborhoods LA (RNLA) Enterprise Foundation, City of Los Angeles, City of Inglewood and The City of Compton, to name a few.
Dr Rieux, MD leads a successful private practice in Los Angeles, CA and is an active member of Cedar Sinai Medical Center. With over 18 years of experience she has developed passion for preventing, controlling and educating people on cardiovascular disease. She is very knowledgeable in cardiovascular medicine and frequently speaks on issues related to heart health, covering topics including "The Heart and Brain Connection", cardiovascular evaluation in Women, Hypertension, Obesity, and "The Hearts of Women". She is well known in the community for speaking on hypertension, diabetes, cholesterol and obesity. Dr Rieux is a promoter of healthy lifestyles. She believes that with small steps everyone can live a life of health—mind, body, and soul in harmony. Dr Rieux thanks God every day for her gift of healing, her energy and the appreciation of joy that comes from living life to the fullest.
